The passing of time is a surreal thing. To think that on this day, 365 days ago, I made an Instagram account and Website for my passion project that I have been contemplating for the past 6 years, is surreal.
I thought it would only amount to my friends and family following the account and that being that. Was I in for a shock. Less than 24 hours since I launched the CNP Instagram and Website, I was bombarded with comments and messages filled with encouragement and the expression for the need for CNP. A platform where I could elevate and tell Coptic Narratives. I was overjoyed! The opportunity to connect with fellow Copts from across the globe; from Australia to Egypt to the US to the UK, it seemed our shared connection knew no bounds.
With 10 amazing and diverse blog posts to a readership of over 1000, it was evident that the Coptic Narrative Project was and is needed, by those in the Coptic community and those outside.
My goal is to continue growing the CNP, by diversifying our stories, to growing the team who work so hard behind-the-scenes, to a bigger vision. I just hope you are ready!

Mary Beshay is a graduate of Global Political Studies from York University in Toronto, Canada. Her research focuses on International Politics and Law, Multilateral Organizations, Identity and Philosophy.
